25 Weeks

I thought I would post a 25 week update. The baby is growing and moving like crazy. The books all say that the baby should be about 1 1/2 now. I feel great and have been enjoying the beautiful weather. I go to the doctor next week for my glucola test and regular check up. We were excited to get our baby furniture in this past week. It took less than 4 week to get it all in and delivered. It is exciting to see it in the baby's room. We are planning on ordering bedding and registering this week.

World Cup Qualifier: US v.s. Honduras

This weekend we went to Chicago for the World Cup Qualifier Game: US v.s. Honduras. I never thought Scott and I would ever go to a US soccer game because neither of us have ever been interested in soccer. We decided to go with a group of friends since it was something we have never done and heard it was a lot of crazy fun. It was definitely a fun and crazy experience. Those Hondurans really get into their soccer and out numbered the US fans. The stadium was probably 75% Honduras fans. The US dominated the game and won 2-1. The only complaints were that it rained while we tailgated and it was only 59 F when we got to Chicago at 3pm. The temperature continued to drop from there. Overall a fun experience and a cultural experience.

The Honduras fans greeted each car entering the tailgating lot with music, dancing, and taunting.Soccer fans sport their flags at all time. Some flags are large, some are small, and some are huge.

We sat in Sam's Army section. This is a general admission section where all the crazy US fans sit or should I say stand. They stand the whole game while chanting and singing through out the game. Definitely much different from American football. This section is also dressed very patriotic. As seen in this picture we saw Uncle Sam in shorty shorts (remember game time temp was around 50 F).

Captain America was in attendance.
I did not get a picture of the Pilgrim, Yankee, Statue of Liberty, or the woman wearing an American flag as a tube top.

Full House.

The first US goal.
