Coming Home!

We got discharged from the hospital on Wednesday afternoon. We were so excited to get back home. We were ready to spend some time as a family and introduce Olivia to Berkley. We felt so bad leaving Berkley at home on Sunday or shall I say Monday very early in the morning. We left for the hospital a little after midnight and got to the hospital at 1am. We decided Berkley should just stay at home until Kristen could pick her up Monday morning. She was very confused and sad when we left. We were also anxious to see her reaction to her new baby sister.

All buckled in and ready for the ride home.
Berkley greeted Olivia on the front porch and gave her a friendly sniff and snort.

It's a Girl! Welcome Olivia Rene Alvey

Olivia Rene Alvey was born on September 21st at 9:06am. She was 7lbs 4oz and 20.5in. We are all doing great. Labor and delivery went very smooth. We are so excited that to we have this beautiful, healthy baby girl. She has a perfectly round face, bright blue eyes, and the fullest head of dark brown hair. We already can't imagine our lives without her. We love her so much!

Welcome Ayela and Makenna Hoehn!

On Thursday, September 3rd, our nieces Ayela Marie and Makenna Ann were born. Everyone is doing great and the girls were very healthy! Ayela weighed 5lbs 3oz and Makenna weighed 5 lbs 10oz. We are sad that we couldn't go to Evansville to meet them but with me being 37 weeks pregnant, we couldn't make the 3hr trip. We can't wait to meet them after our baby arrives.

Congratulations Jenn and Chad!

5 Year Anniversary!

Yesterday was our 5 year wedding anniversary. We celebrated by going out to Sullivan's, nice steakhouse. We figure this will be our last sophisticated dinner before the baby comes. It was a nice evening. I can't believe that 5 years have gone by already and now our first baby is due in 3 weeks (currently 37 weeks pregnant). In the past 5 years, we have sold our first house, lived in a rental house, designed our dream house, and moved into our dream house. We have had a great 5 years and I can't wait to see what the next 5 years will hold.

Congratulations Matthews Family!

Blake and Big Brother Jack

Our Friends Scott and Christy welcomed their second son, Blake Daniel on September 2nd. We are so excited that he is finally here. He is a very cute and mature looing newborn. Big Brother Jack is super excited and is already being very helpful. Blake and our baby will be playmates and best of buddies hopefully since the Matthews are our neighbors. I am excited to have Christy on maternity leave while I will be so I have someone to spend time with and go on walks with during the day.

Another cute picture of Jack that I couldn't pass up posting.
